Inspection Operations Supervisor (New Jersey)
Vanguard Direct seeks Inspection Operations Supervisor to direct, supervise oversee, test and inspect fruits, ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, oversee quality and safety inspections by contractors, monitor transportation, storage, loading and handling of imported produce, direct and monitor testing, quarantine and destruction of imported fruits and prepare reports per govt. requirements.
Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Science (or foreign equivalent) + 5 years’ progressive experience in QC of imported fruits. Experience must include entire inspection process, auditing food safety and sanitation, training and supervising QC workers, knowledge of QC and int’l standards for imported fruit, food safety, product tracing, product recalls, USDA/APHIS standards and quarantine procedures. Must communicate in Spanish/English. Regular travel to cold storage warehouses in NJ and other U.S. sites. Swedesboro, NJ worksite.
